Have A Fitness Shake!

When you workout, you burn calories and body loses nutrients that need to be replaced in order for you to recover from the exercise and repair your body. There are many specifics about nutrition that can affect recovery, but the major components of nutrition are (macronutrients) Protein, Carbohydrates and Fats, yes I said fats!

Drinking a shake before, during or after your workout allows you to replenish the macronutrients that your body is looking for at those times. Replenishing your body with proper nutrition will allow your body to repair and transform.

The human body absorbs and utilizes the nutrition from a liquid (shake) much faster than from a solid food (it is digested faster) because it doesn't have to be broken down in your stomach. Therefore, a shake is an ideal vehicle for replacing those macronutrients. So experiment with some flavors and find what shake works best for your tastebuds!

Nutrition shakes can also help a person lose weight by acting as a meal replacement. Instead of eating a meal high in calories, you can drink a calorie controlled shake filled with plenty of vitamins and minerals

Start your day off right with a nutritional shake that will replenish your body. See the ingredients below for a quick and simple way to power up for whatever’s in store for the day. These shakes are perfect on-the-go.

Eat This Food!

Americans love fast food. We love the convenience of being able to order breakfast, lunch or dinner from the comfort of our cars.1 out of 4 Americans eats fast food every day. Fast food focuses on high volume, low cost, and high speed product. Normally the food is preheated or precooked and served to go. The downside of “convenient food” is the health risk.

A study published in the Canadian Journal of Cardiology, indicates that damage to the arteries occurs almost immediately after just one junk food-type meal. Also The World Health Organization has linked fast food to the sharp rise in obesity and chronic disease. With that being said, many fast food restaurants are trying to counteract “bad fast food” by offering healthier choices and smaller portions.

Syntha-6 Is Good for Weight Loss

Product Details

Syntha-6 is a protein supplement often used by athletes or individuals looking for a boost in their daily protein intake. Diets with a moderately high protein intake, along with modestly restricted carbohydrates and fats, can have beneficial effects on weight and body composition, notes a 2008 review published in "Current Opinion in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Obesity." Because Syntha-6 is a low-calorie food, it can be used in place of a normal meal to lower total calorie intake, increase     protein intake and help promote weight loss.

Syntha-6 Nutrition

Syntha-6 contains a blend of several types of protein, including whey, casein, milk and egg. Whey is a fast-acting protein, whereas casein is a slower-burning form of protein. Milk protein contains both whey and casein. Eggs are another high quality source of protein, with a very complete amino acid profile. In all, the proteins in Syntha-6 are high quality animal-source proteins, which means they can be easily digested and utilized by the body. Syntha-6 contains a total of 22 grams of protein per 47-gram serving. With 200 calories and 6 grams of fat per serving, Syntha-6, combined with water, can serve as a low- calorie meal.

Whey Protein and Fat Loss

Whey protein, the primary form of protein in Syntha-6, has been studied for its role in reducing body weight. A study published in 2008 in "Nutrition & Metabolism" administered a whey protein supplement to participants on a 500-calorie reduced diet. Compared to a control group, which was also on a 500-calorie reduced diet, the group consuming the whey protein supplement lost significantly more body fat. The difference in total weight lost, however, was not significant, because of the preservation of lean body mass by the whey protein supplement.

Casein Protein and Weight Loss

Casein protein has also been researched for its potential to aid in weight loss. A study published in 2007 in "Metabolism" found that both soy and casein protein shakes contributed to significant weight loss in obese women, when used as part of a reduced-calorie diet.

Syntha-6 as a Meal Replacement

If you're interested in using Syntha-6 for weight-loss purposes, consume it as a meal replacement, rather than an addition to your diet. According to a study published in 2004 in the "Journal of Nutrition," meal replacements are not only as effective as conventional weight-loss strategies, but they offer more convenience and a higher adherence rate. Another study published in 2009 in the "International Journal of Clinical Practice" found that high-protein meal replacements, such as Syntha-6, were more effective in reducing abdominal fat when compared to conventional meal replacements.

Safety

Syntha-6 is not fortified with vitamins or minerals. When you plan to consume it to replace more than one meal per day, take it along with a multivitamin supplement. Alternatively, blend Syntha-6 protein powder with fruits and vegetables to create a vitamin- and mineral-rich protein shake.

6 Best Foods to Eat When Your Drinking Alcohol

Hey team, its holiday time and plenty of us will be visiting our families, eating dinners, watching sports, and having an occasional drink while enjoying festivities. There is a health conscious approach to consuming alcohol. An approach that considers the body (our temple) as a whole and how its various organs will respond biologically to the consumption of alcohol. Below are 6 of the best foods to eat when you are drinking! Remember any thing in access isn't good for you. And this advise is considering that we are also working out regularly to burn off some calories. Enjoy!

As long as you’re not downing cream-laden varieties, soup is a great option. Chicken noodle replenishes sodium levels and also contains cysteine, an amino acid that helps your liver break down a headache-causing toxin found in alcohol.

These guys are loaded with potassium, an electrolyte that gets wiped out when you drink alcohol. Maybe even eat the peel too.

Whole grains are made up of complex carbs that absorb alcohol. They also contain B vitamins, which help prevent a dear-lord-why hangover.

Not quite as virtuous as whole wheat, but pancakes, waffles and other carby, delicious, often off-limits foods are actually kind of solid for a post-bar meal, again, because carbs soak up the alcohol in your system. Bonus points if you can avoid drowning them in butter and sugar.

High in vitamins B-6 and C, iron and folate, hummus is a super-healthy way to satisfy your cravings for something oily without the added fat of, say, fries. Pair it with whole-wheat pita chips or veggie sticks for a snack that’s satisfying and good for you.
